The Oil Spill Information Center collection includes correspondence, articles, government publications, pamphlets, patents, reports, and related materials collected by the OSIC, primarily in response to the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill. It’s located in Special Research Collections (SRC) along with other relevant collections like the Get Oil Out! (GOO!) collection. Materials from SRC need to be requested in advance. There is also a virtual exhibit that was created for the 50th anniversary of the blowout in the channel.
