First, identify where to find library material using UC Library Search and the Library Floor Plans and Locations Guide. To borrow material, bring the item(s) you want and your library card to the appropriate service desk. In addition to the Services Desk at the UCSB Library, there is one at the Music Library. Most items can also be checked out at the Self-Check Out machines.

All Self Check-Out machines are located on the first floor in the following locations:

• Mountain Side, Learning Commons
• Paseo, adjacent to Collaborate Help Desk
• Ocean Side, inside Davidson Entrance
