How do I view the web version of the New York Times?
Answer
A New York Times Online Account is available to all UCSB students, faculty and staff, but first you have to create a free account by visiting accessnyt.com, search and select University of California, Santa Barbara and follow the directions to set up an account using your campus email. You can connect through Gmail using your campus email address.
There are more troubleshooting steps and additional information on the News Sources guide.
Account set-up will not work if you have a pre-existing, paid New York Times subscription using a UCSB email address.
Students will have complimentary subscription access until their graduation year, while faculty and staff must renew their subscription once every four years.
