My UCSB NetID and password are not working. What do I do?

Answer

This could be due to several issues.  First, ensure that you are trying to log in to a UCSB login box.  Our login screens are branded with either a "UC Santa Barbara" wordmark.  If you do not see "UC Santa Barbara" on the login screen, your ID and password will not work.  To fix this problem, start your research at the UCSB Library website so that you get a proxy-prefixed link to the resource.  If you are at a UCSB-branded login box and your ID and password do not work, try resetting your password in the UCSB Directory.  If this does not fix the problem, contact campus IT for more assistance.
