How can I find dissertations or theses?

UCSB electronic theses and dissertations are listed in eScholarship (2014-present) and the Alexandria Digital Research Library (2011-2017).  UCSB dissertations should be findable in UC Library Search.  To see a list by department in UC Library Search, search for subject or keywords: "dissertations academic ucsb (name of deptment)." Some dissertations and theses in the Alexandria Digital Research Library are only accessible on campus or through the VPN for affiliated users off-campus. The UCSB Library does not have honors theses for undergraduates. Individual campus departments should be contacted to find out if they have them. 

Non-UCSB dissertations and theses can be found using the Proquest Dissertations and Theses database, the Open Access Theses & Dissertations database, or the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
