How do I access the UCSB Student Newspaper, The Daily Nexus and earlier titles?

Answer

The UCSB Library has a digital collection of the Daily Nexus and earlier titles in the Alexandria Digital Research Library. They are the Daily Nexus (1971- June 2001), UCSB Daily Nexus (1970-1971), El Gaucho (1934-1970), El Gauchito (Summer sessions 1935-1965), Roadrunner (1930-1934), Stray Feathers (Summer sessions 1932-1934), and The Eagle (1923-1930).

The Daily Nexus Archive has issues from July 30, 2015 through the current date.

The UCSB Library also has copies of the Daily Nexus in microfilm at LB3621.65 D35 on the second floor across from the ocean elevators.  If you find that the year or issue you need is missing from microfilm or is checked out, you may request to use the archival copies in Special Research Collections from the University Archives: Periodicals Publications Collection.
