How many books can I check out at a time?

Answer

Users can check out books and other library materials by using the self-checkout machines located near library exits or by visiting the Services Desk in the UCSB Library Paseo or the Music Service Desk in the Music Library. The maximum number of items that can be checked out are: 

  • Undergraduates: 50

  • Honors students: 200

  • Graduates: 200

  • Faculty: 1,000

  • Staff: 100

  • Community: 10
