What is the UC Library Search catalog and how can I access it?

Answer

The UC Library Search catalog lists materials owned by the UCSB Library and other University of California Libraries.  Currently-enrolled UCSB students, faculty, and staff may use this system to borrow books from other UC libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). If you do not find the book you are looking for in UC Library Search, use the WorldCat option (under External Search in the left-hand choices of your search results screen) to expand your search to non-UC Libraries.
