Once I find the book I’m looking for in UC Library Search, how do I find it in the Library?

Answer

Books and other materials in the UCSB Library are arranged on the shelf by call number.  After searching in UC Library Search you will need to copy the location and call number for the item.  On the brief display in UC Library Search, the location and call number follow the phase Available at.  On the full display, the location and call number appear under the label Access in Library (Example: Main Library HQ1410 .U54 2009).  Once you have the location and call number, use the Call Numbers & Locations guide to locate the item on the shelf.
