I cannot locate a book in the stacks. How can I find it?

Answer

If the status in UC Library Search shows “Item in place,” but the item is not on the shelf or on nearby sorting shelves, users should initiate a search at the Services Desk.  After there is a search noted in UC Library Search (usually within 24 hours) a patron can then request the item through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
