Can I check out books if I’m not a current UCSB student, staff, or faculty member?

Answer

Non-UCSB Library users can purchase a library card for $100 per year. This enables you to check out books, but it will not provide access to licensed databases from off campus or Interlibrary Loan privileges. Some community members are eligible for free library cards.
