How do I get a UCSB Library Card (Access Card)?
The UCSB Access Card serves as your library card. The card has a magnetic strip on the back that enables campus affiliates to access the Library during late-night study hours. Access Cards are automatically activated when students pay their registration fees. Faculty and staff also have Access Cards that are used as their library card. For more information see the Library Cards webpage.
Community members will be given a library card to check out materials. This card does not give them access to the Library during late-night study hours.
